What is TALO?

TALO is revolutionary half-mouth toothbrush that cleans the teeth completely in 20 seconds, effortlessly. TALO was designed by dentists and medical professionals to be able to give a consistent clean, every time and eliminate user error.

TALO uses the American Dental Association (ADA) recommended brushing method, the Bass Technique. This involves having the brush-head at a 45-degree angle towards the gums, with the right amount of pressure and short-stroking motions back and forth using soft nylon bristles. By focusing on each tooth individually, TALO is the FIRST and ONLY toothbrush designed to replicate the natural way we are actually supposed to clean our teeth.

Is 20 seconds long enough to brush?

The recommended two minutes of brushing is the time necessary to adequately brush the teeth and remove plaque using a regular or standard electric toothbrush since it is brushing one tooth surface at a time.

TALO’s unique form factor allows it brush six surfaces simultaneously, thereby giving every tooth surface the same amount of brushing time in twenty seconds that you would get if you brushed for two minutes properly using a traditional toothbrush.

How can I get more brushing cartridges?

After the campaign, we will send out a survey to our backers that will allow you the option to add on additional cartridges at our exclusive Kickstarter pricing.

Afterwards, replacement cartridges will be easily available through our website, Amazon and partnering dentist offices.

How often does the brushing cartridge need to be replaced?

The brushing cartridge is meant to be replaced about every three months, just like most other toothbrushes.

Will there be different sizes available?

TALO’s half-mouth design allows it to comfortably fit adult mouths of all shapes and sizes. Also, since it is brushing the teeth individually, the brush-pods are guided around the curvature of your individual mouth.

How is TALO recharged? How often?

TALO comes with a wireless recharging dock that connects to USB for easy recharging anywhere.

TALO can last at least 8 days on a single charge.

Is there a childrens size available?

Right now, we are focused on delivering an amazing product that gives the best brushing experience possible for adults. We do plan to introduce a children’s version in the future.

How do you apply toothpaste?

Place a small amount of toothpaste on each of the two brush-heads and it will be spread around over the teeth as it brushes, just like a traditional toothbrush.

Does TALO include a warranty?

Yes, TALO includes a one year warranty from date of delivery. We will repair or replace your device should it fail within this period.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
